A long time ago on the Ceylon island, lived a bunch of goblins in a large city. all the goblins were women, so if they wanted to get married they had to force travelers to marry them. once the goblins were tired of their husbands, they would eat them.
one day a ship wrecked on the coast of the goblin city and stranded 500 sailors. the goblins went down to the shore and gave the sailors food, water, and dry clothes. then the goblins told the sailors they could stay in the city. at first the sailors were worried that there were not any other people living in the city, but the goblins used their powers to create a mirage of fake people in the fields and city. the goblins also tricked the sailors by telling them that all their husbands have been lost at sea for three years.
when night came the goblins went to eat some of the men. the captain of the sailors woke up before his wife came back home and knew something was wrong when she came back home. she was chanting about eating mans meat and that mans meat is the only thing they ate. the captain pretended to be asleep so he wouldn't be noticed by the goblin.
the next morning the captain told his mates about what the goblins are really doing. only a few of the sailors believed him. most of the sailors thought that their wives would never do anything like that. the men that believed the captain decided to find a way to escape. the next day while taking a walk they came across a fairy who told them she hated the goblins.
the fairy told them she will give them her flying horse to take them home. the fairy shrunk all the men that wanted to leave so they could all fit on the horses back. the ones who stayed behind got eaten by the goblins.
