A King and Queen parrot lived with their flock on a top of a hill. They lived in the wood of silk cotton trees. The King and Queen had a beautiful baby parrot. Their baby parrot was the most beautiful out of all the parrots in the world.
Years go by and the child parrot told his elderly parents that he will go and gather food from the fields since he is grown and strong. He traveled each day to the rice fields with the other parrots in the flock. After each time he ate, he saved a bit in his beak to bring back to the King and Queen.
One day when the flock of parrots were traveling, they found a better field that was more fertile and full of rice. The farmer noticed that there were parrots in the rice field and he went to tell his master that even though the field was prospering, the parrots were coming each day to eat the grains. The farmer also told his master that there was one parrot specifically that was more beautiful than the others.
The master told the farmer to set up a trap to catch the child-parrot. So the farmer set up the trap, which ultimately worked. The child parrot got his leg trapped but he knew if he called for help the other parrots would not be able to eat. So he waited to call out until the flock had enough to eat. However, no one came to help him because they all feared the farmer.
The farmer came to the trap and was happy that he manage to catch the child parrot. The farmer brought the parrot to the master. The master asked the parrot if he had a farm that he lived at. The parrot replied that he has a duty to fulfill and he travels to a treasured place. The master asks the parrot what does he mean. The parrot tells him about his parents the silk cotton trees on the hill. The master felt bad and release the parrot and told him that he can use the field as long as he comes everyday.
